BCHL: Mixed emotions for former Smokies captain

A first time opportunity for a local hockey player.

Trail native Scott Davidson was traded from his hometown Smoke Eaters to the Chilliwack Chiefs this weekend.

The transaction moves Davidson from the Interior division’s last place Smokies to the Mainland Division’s second place Chiefs.

It offers him a chance to play in his first BCHL postseason game.

Davidson committed to Quinnipiac University in Connecticut last season.

He amassed 29 points in 37 games with the Smokies this year.
