Trail's Bullarama event gets reprieve

When Trail City Council looks at supporting local events they sometimes need to set aside the financial implications.

So says councillor Sandy Santori following council’s decision this week to back another run of Bullarama that has lost $90,000 since 2008.

Santori says the long running bull-riding competition is consistent to what they are trying to do in the city’s centre.

The Bullarama organizing committee expects to run a maximum deficit of $10,000 which the city has agreed to cover.

However the city says if the event doesn’t see 200 more tickets sold than last year – it won’t support the event in the future.
