Bullarama’s organizing committee is optimistic it can reach the benchmark put in front of them by Trail city council.
The long-running bull-riding competition has lost about $90,000in the last six years.
So, council agreed to cover the planned maximum $10,000 deficit this year but any future support may rely on whether ticket sales increase by 200 for the main event and by 150 for the dance.
Chair Gord McMartin says their goal is to make the 14th annual Bullarama the best one yet.
McMartin says 70% of their sponsors have been there since the beginning.
