Rural transport challenges persist for local health care

The West Kootenay/Boundary Hospital Board agrees their top priority is improving transportation links.

Getting people to hospitals or specialist appointments can be challenging within the existing transit network.

But Christina Lake regional director Grace McGregor says to see improvements the board has to work together.

McGregor also says access to health care is a worthy subject for the new rural advisory council for BC.

Its members are expected to be named this month.
