Stanley Humphries Secondary School in Castlegar was forced to close Wednesday.
This after a small fire was set in one of the boy’s bathrooms during the morning.
Superintendent of SD20 Greg Luterbach says everyone was fine and the evacuation of the building worked well.
They decided to dismiss the students as they clean things up.
School buses were brought in specially to take some students home and parents were contacted.
SHSS is expected to be open as normal Thursday.
