A phenomenal amount of precipitation and multiple daily record highs in our region to start the month of February.
So says Southeast Fire Centre Weather Forecaster Ron Lakeman who notes nearly 60mm came down during a six day period earlier this month.
Lakeman says there has also been five daily records set with maximum temperatures already in February.
He does expect temperatures to normalize this week.
He points out 2010 has similar weather patterns that resulted in a mild March.
