High Streamflow Advisory issued for much of the West Kootenay

A high streamflow advisory for much of the province includes the West Kootenay.

The River Forecast Centre expects rivers and tributaries to rise rapidly Thursday and Friday because of rain.

The advisory says low pressure off the Alaska and BC coasts will result in wraparound rainfall throughout the Interior.

The advisory will remain in effect through the weekend.
