Pink Shirt Day: Local nurse promotes emotional health

A local registered nurse is promoting emotional and mental health at Castlegar’s Stanley Humphries Secondary.

Sarah Raudales is speaking to us as Wednesday marks the sixth annual Pink Shirt Day – a national anti-bullying initiative.

Raudales says people don’t bully unless there is something happening to them personally.

She says she’s been talking to the kids about emotional resilience, stress management and self esteem and believes it’s working.

Raudales will be returning to Stanley Humphries in the coming weeks to discuss what causes bullying and how they can deal with it.
