Trail launches Buy-A-Light bridge campaign

Trail’s Downtown Opportunities and Action committee is inviting the public to help light up the downtown.

Communications and Events Coordinator Andrea Jolly says the DOAC is asking for residents to Buy-A-Light for $200 to help raise $50,000 for the Victoria Street Bridge Lighting project.

Jolly says the LED lights will be turned on nightly and can be creatively sequenced to enhance or compliment special events.

The DOAC has already raised $140,000 and after this campaign they plan to ask council for the city to match it with $190,000.
