Early Years Centre for North Kootenay Lake

The government has acknowledged increasing demand for services for young families at the north end of Kootenay Lake.

They’ve announced the community services offering in Kaslo will become a new Early Years Centre.

Local coordinator Sarah Evans says the money will allow for expanded service that will help many people.

There will also be more one-on-one support for young families.

There are two family resource centres in the area.

The one at Kaslo is at JV Humphries School and the other at Jewett School at Meadow Creek.
