Avalanche Canada says they’re delighted with major funding from Columbia Basin Trust.
Executive Director Gilles Valade says the $325,000 over two years will help fund their forecasting, public warning service and boost training initiatives.
And it will also go towards their mobile app Mountain Information Network.
Valade says Avalanche Canada can never be assured of regular annual funding so the CBT partnership is very important for continued service.
