IH recruiting again for Kaslo doctor

Interior Health is back in recruitment mode for the Victorian Health Centre in Kaslo.

This after the departure of Dr Ben Allen – one of the two full-time doctors hired last summer.

Here’s IH Health Service Administrator in our area Cheryl Whittleton.

She says IH is actively recruiting and they’ve already had some interest.

The community will be frustrated by the loss after going through regular ER closures in the past due to doctor shortages.

The ER is closed this afternoon because the remaining doctor is not available nor is there locum cover.
