One dead in Taghum blaze

A fire in a mobile home in Taghum just outside Nelson has killed one person.

Nelson Fire Dept responded to the fully engulfed structure just after 4 am Sunday morning on Fofonow Road.

Here’s Assistant Chief Mike Daloise.

There is no word on the identity of the deceased nor the cause.

The fire also involved multiple vehicles and out-buildings.

Crews from Beasley and Blewett assisted as well as they worked to protect neighboring homes.

RCMP, BC Coroner and the Nelson Fire Department are investigating.
