More money for BC angling

A local rod and gun club is applauding the move by government to put all revenue from fishing licences back into angling.

And Gord Grunerud – the President of the West Arm Outdoors Club – says now there will clearly be money for investing in solutions to the Kokanee collapse in Kootenay Lake.

Previously not all licence fees were handed over to the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC.

But the new deal means about $3 million more  will go towards stocking lakes, improving access to fishing and regulations enforcement.
