Trailer home fire victim formally identified

We now have official confirmation that the local man killed in the trailer home fire Sunday was Ryan Tapp.

The BC Coroners Service has released a statement saying 28 year old Tapp was found dead in the Fofonow Rd property in Taghum.

The fire completely destroyed the unit around 4 am.

Tapp’s body was discovered by firefighters once the intense blaze had been put out.

Nelson Fire dept has promised a thorough investigation into the cause and says it’s hard on the community when there is a fire fatality.
