Local RD Chair part of BC Rural Council

The Chair of the RDKB has been named to the province’s Rural Advisory Council.

Grace McGregor is one of 14 individuals who will represent different regions from around BC for the group that will provide input to government policy.

McGregor believes they won’t know what their priority is til they meet for the first time later this month.

The council will meet on a quarterly basis with the first session scheduled for March 26th and 27th.

McGregor says Parliamentary Secretary Donna Barnett has been a major advocate for rural BC and needs to be thanked for making this group a reality.
