Interior Health has announced two new physicians have been recruited for the City of Castlegar.
Health Service Administrator Cheryl Whittleton says it’s vital the community is linked to primary health care providers.
Whittleton says based on Castlegar’s health services manpower plan the City requires 12 doctors and there is still a need in the community.
There are currently 10 full time physicians working in the area.
Council previously hired a recruiter to try and replace doctors that are expected to retire in the near future.
