Nelson broke another temperature record Thursday – for the second time in a week.

According to Environment Canada, it reached 28.8 C, breaking the 1994 record of 28.5 C.

Records in the area have been kept since 1904.

Nelson was one of two communities in B.C. that saw record-breaking heat on May 7.

On Sunday the area broke a 60-year record when it hit 29 C.
