Mixed reaction to BC Transport Plan:Conroy

Kootenay West MLA Katrine Conroy wants to learn more about the 10-year Transportation Plan announced by government Tuesday.

On first blush the New Democrat sees some good and bad for our area in the $2.5 billion plan.

And she gives credit for the commitment to improve some sections of Highway 3.

Conroy notes the $24 million in new money for upgrades to community airports.

She says she will be advocating for some of that because reliability of service at our two airports – in Castlegar and Trail –  is the number one priority for economic development.
