AGLG releases second Rossland report

The province’s Auditor General for Local Government (AGLG) has completed her report on the City of Rossland.

Basia Ruta released part two of her audit on the Alpine City today.

This after last year she found council and staff did not adequately protect the interests of its taxpayers when it came to capital projects like the Arena roof replacement and the Columbia Avenue – Washington street upgrades.

Thursday’s release was titled Learning from Local Government Procurement Projects and Asset Management Programs.

Ruta says the new Council has been very supportive to the reports and recommendations.

She adds the city has already begun an action plan to address the issues.
