Lack of senior management challenging for Rossland

When will Rossland be able to address lack of staff resources and management at senior levels?

It was one of the main reasons outlined in the Auditor General for Local Government’s second and final report on the Alpine City – in this case regarding the mismanagement of their capital assets and planning.

Mayor Kathy Moore says they’re working to make everyone’s job manageable but it is difficult.

The report said Rossland lacked complete information and a plan for which assets to invest in and when.

However, the AGLG says council and staff are receptive to recommendations and are making progress.
