Nelson supportive housing project on track for fall opening

The 43-unit supportive housing project at 45 Government Road in Nelson remains on track to open this fall.

According to BC Housing, construction is expected to be completed this summer. Ownership will then transfer from Gerrard Station Development to BC Housing before the building begins operating this fall.

The project, announced last September, will provide 43 studio homes with 24-hour on-site supports for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

It will be operated by the Nelson CARES Society.
