Ambitious Zip Line attraction for Kootenay Lake

A fully guided zip line park near Kokanee Creek Provincial Park could be operational by this summer.

Kokanee Mountain Zip Line Owner Todd Manton says construction on six zip lines over 56 acres of crown land could start next month and be finished by July.

Manton says they wanted to find a unique home for the attraction.

Manton – who has a degree in eco-tourism – says the project will be as environmentally friendly as possible.

The tour will take two and a half to three hours with hikes two hundred feet in the air and zip lines as long as two thousand feet.
