Local post card scam

Nelson RCMP are telling the public to be aware of what looks like a mail scam.

They’ve had reports of people getting a yellow card in their post box with their name and address printed on it.

It has the words “Final Notice.”

It appears quite professional and residents are told to call a number to claim a prize.

RCMP Cst Stathis Dimopoulos says they’re investigating and at this stage it looks like a scam that is specific to our region.
