Hway 3 tree accident victim named

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of the woman who died in that tragic accident near Christina Lake last week.

She was 33 year old Amanda Koppin of Christina Lake.

Koppin was driving west on Highway 3 when her SUV was struck by a large tree that had fallen 28 metres end-over-end down a cliff.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The coroner’s office previously ruled out any connection with commercial logging.
