Boundary group still seeking transition units

The Boundary Emergency and Transition Housing Society are not giving up on their goal of establishing safe units for those in need.

This after Grand Forks city council did not approve a 10-year lease to a city owned property on 72nd and 1st.

The group wanted to build three transitional units above a new Restore facility.

Society board chair Neil Muth (pictured) says it is unfortunate but a facility like this is important and needed.

Council said they aren’t against the idea but want to see a needs assessment and long term plan transition-housing plan.
