34th GFI preparations in full swing

As another season of Major League Baseball is underway, the Grand Forks International is ramping up for this year’s tournament.

GFI President and Co-ordinator Brian McAndrew says they’ve already booked 11 teams for the June 30th to July 5th showdown.

McAndrew is optimistic they’ll secure a 12th team as they’re in talks with many clubs right now.

Thirty-six players who’ve appeared at the GFI have gone on to the majors including Trail’s Jason Bay and two time Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum.
