Nelson police have arrested a man who escaped from prison and is wanted in Quebec for robbery and kidnapping.
Sgt. Dino Falcone says it happened Friday when they went to a home on an unrelated matter.
They encountered a man who gave them a false name.
Authorities from Quebec will arrive this week to escort the man back to that province.
In another case Nelson police arrested a man from Alberta wanted for drug offences.
