PRIME program launched in Castlegar

A new program in Castlegar and area will help first responders work more efficiently.

The Personal Records In Medical Emergency program is an initiative of Castlegar Community Services and the Community Response Network.

PRIME is essentially a detailed medical and personal fact sheet that placed into a vial inside the participants fridge.

Co-ordinator Sandi McCreight says the more information first responders have access to in a critical situation, the better they are able to treat patients.

McCreight used similar existing programs to create PRIME.
