Nelson Landing returns to council table

A major housing development is back before Nelson city council tonight.

It’s been almost a year since Nelson Landing secured variances allowing the project’s first phase to proceed.

Construction is expected to start this summer on eight condo units that should be ready next year.

This evening council will consider a rezoning application and what’s called a phase development agreement.

It spells out more of the particulars.

But a public hearing needs to be held before final approval.

Eventually there could be 265 condos stretching from the old Kootenay Forest Products lands to Red Sands Beach.
