Trail SPCA facility on last legs

The SPCA Trail Regional Branch facility has reached the end of its lifespan.

This from BC SPCA spokesperson Lorie Chortyk who says the building is in a state where they cannot continue to house animals.

Chortyk says they are now reaching out to the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary to partner on building a new $1.6 million facility – with the SPCA covering 75% of the costs.

The RDKB rejected a request last year to split the price tag 50-50.
