RDKB wants more info before any Trail SPCA decision

It is unclear if the RDKB will partner with the BC SPCA on a new facility in Trail.

This from Regional District Chair Grace McGregor who admits she’s unsure what decision will be made regarding the SPCA’s request for the RD to cover 25% of a $ 1.6 million facility.

McGregor says they have invited the SPCA to their next board meeting as they have many questions for them.

The SPCA said the facility in the Silver City no longer meets safety standards and will close as of June next year.

The Regional District declined a request last year to split the costs for a new facility 50-50.
