A warning from local RCMP after a tragic incident on Kootenay Lake earlier this month.
Police say a man was fishing with his wife on a boat north of Balfour Saturday April 4th when he fell into the water.
Constable David Beach with the Kaslo detachment says conservation officers were on scene and able to get the man out of the water.
He was transported to Kootenay Lake hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Beach says foul play is not suspected and they are waiting for a report from the BC Coroner’s office.
