Sunningdale Park fence idea on hold

The plan to put a fence in Trail’s Lower Sunningdale Park has been put on hold.

Parks and Recreation Director Trisha Davison says everything is in place to move ahead with the 6-foot tall 250-foot long barrier to prevent soccer balls flying into private property.

However, council is now reviewing things.

The concerns come from nearby residents who want to understand how the fence will impact the neighbourhood.

Council wants to ensure all matters are factored into their final decision.

The city has already received nearly $5,000 worth of grants to help build the fence.
