CBT Broadband goes final mile for Rossland

A big economic boost for Rossland from the Columbia Basin Trust.

The CBT’s Broadband Corporation (CBBC) has agreed to pay for the up-front costs of laying the fibre in the Alpine City.

Councillor Aaron Cosbey – who is on the city’s Broadband Task Force – says that will be about a $200,000 investment.

It’s big money the city just does not have.

It’s a new approach by the CBT. It has invested heavily in getting the cable close to cities but had until now not got involved in completing the ‘final mile” so-to-speak.
