Crews hit Nelson’s Hall St upgrade hard

A fast and furious start to the first phase of Nelson’s ambitious Stores to Shores project.

The $2.8 million job has seen heavy equipment move in at two key parts of Hall Street.

Director of Public Works Colin Innes says Maglio Installations is underway in and in front of IODE Park.

Much bigger infrastructure work will take place July through September.

But the hope is to have the new public plaza area at the top of Hall Street in front of the park completed by July so visitors and the community can see some progress.
