The new ferry operating at the top of the Arrow Lakes is out of commission for at least a few days.
The $26.5 million MV Columbia hit a submerged log Sunday that caused damage to one of the propellers.
Bart Chenuz the Ministry Roads Manager in Nakusp  says the crew tested things out but they have to get it repaired.
The boat ramp has been modified to allow one of the older ferries to stand in during repairs. But there will be delays on the Galena Bay to Shelter Bay route. The repair should be done by Sunday morning.
