Trail mayor meets government

A fruitful trip to the island for the mayor of Trail.

Mike Martin was in Victoria last week to talk to the B.C. Government about the demolition of Trail’s Old Bridge, the city’s proposed Boundary Expansion into Area A and KBRH’s sustainability plan.

Martin said they could learn more about upgrades to their Regional Hospital as soon as May 27th when the West Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital board will meet and receive an update from Interior Health.

Martin says all the meetings last week were invalauble.

However, he admits the boundary expansion process will now likely stretch into next year.
