Sculpture Walk was the big winner in Castlegar city council’s recommendations for the disbursement of nearly $90,000 of this year’s CBT Community Initiatives funding.
The outdoor arts tour is set to get $18,500 from the CBT – well above any of the other 27 recipients.
Councillor Deb McIntosh says council has heard from many members of the community that Sculpture Walk is one initiative that is a true benefit to the city.
The group behind Castlegar’s outdoor Bike Park was allocated $12,000.
Other large grants were given to Kootenay Festival and Kootenay Gallery of Arts.
