A domestic violence awareness group in Castlegar is asking city council for help establishing local resources for abusive men.
Men Speak Out local coordinator Bud Godderis spoke to council Monday night in an effort to get support in whatever way the city can provide it.
He says they’re unsure if council can financially support such a resource but hopes they can help attract a counselor to the area.
Godderis believes violence towards women and children is the most criticial issue of our time.
Men Speak Out help organize the local Clothesline and Take Back the Night events.
