Nelson youth centre sees impressive numbers

Recent renovations to the interior of the Nelson and District Youth Centre along with improved programming is producing results.

So says Fitzpatrick McGoey the coordinator at the public facility.

For April they had over 400 visits among youth under-19 and 120 in the over-19 age category.

He says those are very good numbers and part of that is down to fixing the upstairs space.

McGoey says the downstairs will be renovated during June to make things even more welcoming and accessible to all.
