Clinic’s business plan not at issue: Kozak

Nelson council does not make development decisions on a proponent’s business plan .

This from mayor Deb Kozak after the near-unanimous approval for the proposed new medical clinic on View Street opposite the hospital.

Monday night’s public hearing heard concerns about the potential for as many as 20 doctors to rent at the spacious site so the proponent can make it viable.

But Kozak says they can’t speak to that.

The group of doctors behind the project insist it is for up to eight physicians only.
