A good fence will hopefully make good neighbors in Trail after a compromise was reached with the city and Sunningdale residents.
It was decided last month to put up an 80-foot long fence in Lower Sunningdale Park due to complaints of soccer balls flying into nearby private properties.
However, that caused another group of residents to come forward with concerns that a fence that size would ruin the aesthetic of the park.
Mayor Mike Martin says they were able to get all parties together – including the soccer association – to find a solution.
There were also safety concerns about youth crossing the road when chasing runaway balls.
