Graffiti near Trail riverbank investigated

Trail and District RCMP are investigating a string of vandalism along the city’s riverbank.

Police received a call Monday that the rocks – known as the Onions – near Gyro Park had been spray painted overnight.

This follows earlier reports from the city in April that the pedestrian tunnel connecting Bailey street to Fifth avenue had been targeted by vandals.

A resident previously told RCMP she caught one of three young girls fleeing the tunnel after it was vandalized.

Police have released photos of the graffiti in an effort to help identify those responsible.
