Outdoor fire ban

The South East Fire Centre will ban all outdoor burning – except for small camp fires – as of noon Friday.

Our whole region is experiencing drier-than-normal conditions with an elevated fire hazard.

The burning of any waste,slash, grass, stubble or other materials anywhere in BC Parks, crown land and private lands will not be allowed.

A fine of $345 can be issued with very severe penalties for incidents resulting in wildfires.
