Warfield credit union to close

Another smaller local credit union branch is closing.

Kootenay Savings has announced the Warfield location will close and be merged with the Trail branch.

The credit union’s Nancy Crockett says there are two main reasons for the move.

The last day of operations for the Warfield branch is July 3rd.

ATM and night deposit services will remain.

Kootenay Savings took over the Warfield Credit Union in 1997.

Last year the downtown Castlegar branch closed and was consolidated with the one up town.
