The Liberal Party now has a local runner for the upcoming federal election.
Nelson’s Don Johnston will be formally nominated by the party for the Kootenay-Columbia race next week.
Johnston grew up in the Kootenays and is perhaps best known as the former CEO of the Columbia Basin Trust.
He says he’s fed up with the divisive and dismissive approach of the Harper Conservative government and knows he can be an advocate for our region.
And he says the Liberals want this riding to be part of the national conversation.
Johnston brings four decades of work in community development to the table.
