Trail-Warfield Recreation deal

A new willingness to work collectively for Greater Trail is what helped seal a deal with Warfield.

So says Trail city councillor Sandy Santori with news of a new 5-and-a-half- year recreation and library funding agreement.

He calls this a great “first step” and is confident similar agreements can be reached with the Beaver Valley, Area B and Rossland in the months to come.

Warfield will pay $630,000  over the term.

The break down of regionally funded recreation has created a lot of division in the communities with neighboring areas now paying far more for services in Trail.
