Yoga retreat unveils bold construction project

The landmark yoga retreat on the east shore of Kootenay Lake is set for a new beginning.

The Yasodhara Ashram near Kootenay Bay has been an important visitor attraction for decades, but last year it’s roof burnt down.

Now they’ve unveiled their bold new design.

President Swami Lalitananda describes the temple of light that will make quite the statement on the landscape.

The Ashram describes itself as a sacred refuge where people can lift beyond doctrinal differences.

The project will cost up to $2 million and the plans formally presented at a launch June 6th.
