The Regional District Director for rural Kaslo remains wary about the fate of the Meadow Creek Cedar license.
The license could be cancelled as of August and re-apportioned to other forest companies.
But Aimee Watson hopes it’s instead sold to someone who wants to rebuild the sawmill that burned down last year.
Watson says alternatively she’d like the tenure divided among contractors who live in the immediate area.
